ABOUT THE SPEAKER

Tolu Aleshinloye graduated in 2006 from Fordham’s Gabelli School of Business with a Major in Accounting. She began her luxury career as an intern at Jaeger Le-Coultre while still a student at Fordham, which led to a full time position at Cartier in the Merchandising department, a sister brand under the Richemont umbrella of luxury houses. She then went on to take a role as a Buyer at Gilt Groupe, at the time a startup flash sale e-commerce platform. After a few years at Gilt she was recruited to rejoin the luxury jewelry and timepiece space at Harry Winston as a Planner for their emerging Timepiece category. The company was later acquired by Swatch group and she soon set her sights on Tiffany & Co where she spent 7 years of her career working in various Merchandising, Category Management strategy roles including launching the House’s first Men’s Engagement ring – The Charles Tiffany Setting. She was also a founding member of the African Brilliance Collective whose mission was to create pathways for diverse perspectives and community engagement at the House. After the historic acquisition of Tiffany by LVMH she was promoted to Director of Fine Jewelry and Timepieces at Louis Vuitton where she was integral in the launch of Louis Vuitton Diamonds, their Bridal range in 2021.In her most recent role as Director of Marketing at Van Cleef & Arpels, Tolu continues to remain curious about the ever evolving luxury landscape and ways to educate new audiences on jewelry craftsmanship, while maintaining brand identity and equity for the Maison.
